Hope       Inspiration       Wisdom       Healing

The dying time can truly be a time of insight and learning for both the dying and their caregivers, but for most people it is a time of great fear. Family, friends and caregivers may become uncomfortable as their loved one’s health deteriorates and they don’t what to say or do. The terminally ill face many changes, both drastic and subtle that they need to come to terms with.

In this lecture I will discuss the four stages of dying and how they are intertwined with the five stages of grief. I will bring to light some of the subtle changes in mind and spirit that occur during the dying process that many caregivers aren’t even aware of and what to do about them.

Attendees will learn ways in which they can comfort and support the patient and help him to face not only his illness, but his ultimate death with hope and courage.
